Diana's current comparative work focuses on global patterns of extinction detectability, and mechanisms of decline in Australian and Mexican mammals. Diana's field study animals and sites include subtropical antechinuses at Springbrook in SE Qld, kultarrs at Diamantina Lakes and other sites in western Qld, the endangered bridled nailtail wallaby at its only location in the wild (Taunton NP) in central Qld, and dingoes and cats at Taunton and Idalia National Park in western Qld.
