I am a plant ecologist interested in applied and theoretical aspects of restoration and community ecology. A common thread to my research thus far has been the exploration of processes and relationships at different spatial scales. My current project is a collaboration between the Mayfield Lab at UQ and the ERIE Research Group (lead by Richard Hobbs) at UWA. The study aims to determine the drivers of novel annual plant community diversity in fragmented agricultural landscapes by assessing the relative importance of environmental filtering, stochastic processes and biotic interactions. I completed my PhD at UQ in 2009. I subsequently worked in Switzerland at the University of Bern and EPFL (Lausanne) before returning to Australia in late 2010.
