My research interests are in the fields of landscape/spatial ecology, and environmental history. I focus on understanding the drivers and impacts of landscape change on land cover and fauna species, including interactions with climate change. I am currently working on a spatial prioritisation of sites where managed regrowth of woodland ecosystems in Queensland can be used to improve conservation outcomes for native fauna. I completed my PhD at UQ in 2007 and since then have worked on a number of research projects, including the effects of climate extremes on the distribution and abundance of koalas at the contracting edge of their range in south west Queensland. I am a NERP postdoc working with Assoc Prof Clive McAlpine.
