I have a broad interest in applying population genetics to the management of wild populations, particularly through a better understanding of dispersal. I am also interested in identifying ways in which genetic data can be used to inform management in the face of climate change. My current project aims to use population genetic data in two main ways: identification of areas of high genetic diversity and estimation of ecosystem connectivity. A meta-analysis of publically available data across multiple species will allow us to identify knowledge gaps, as well providing information to aid the systematic management of Australian marine ecosystems. I am a member of the Riginos Lab.
