I recently moved to Queensland from the UK where I completed a Master's in Marine Biology to work as a research assistant at UQ before starting a PhD here. I have good marine fieldwork experience on research vessels and in coastal environments and am a certified PADI Divemaster. Although I have a background in marine biology, I have also always loved terrestrial organisms such as birds, mammals, and reptiles, and I would very much like to improve my skills and knowledge in terrestrial fieldwork, especially as I recently went to Carnarvon research station which sparked my interest for ecology and conservation of Australia's fauna. I am in particular very interested in gaining experience with camera and pitfall trapping. I am willing to camp in remote areas, have a good level of fitness, and am comfortable with species identification and dichotomous keys.
I am ideally looking for trips of a couple weeks to a month, and have my own transport to get where needed if necessary.
Please don't hesitate to contact me or ask for a resume,
