The Schwarzman Scholars experience is anchored in a rigorous and innovative master’s degree program at the leading Tsinghua University, China. Students spend a year living and studying together, immersed in an international community of thinkers, innovators and senior leaders in business, politics, and society.

Designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders, Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century. Students pursue degrees in public policy, economics and business, or international studies.


Applicants must have graduated or be graduating from an undergraduate program at an accredited university.

They must also be between 18 and 28 years of age as of August 1, 2018.

How to apply

Applicants must submit an online application, transcript and four letters of recommendation.

It is recommended but not required that applicants submit a one minute introduction video.
