UQ International is offering scholarships for high achieving Vietnamese students seeking admission into undergraduate degree programs at The University of Queensland. UQ has established strong connections with Vietnam and values the contributions Vietnamese students make to the UQ student body.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a UQ International Vietnam Gifted Schools Scholarship for High Achievers, you must:

Be a Vietnamese citizen residing in Vietnam

Have an unconditional or a conditional offer (with all conditions met by the scholarship closing date)

Be a high achieving academic student

Have completed your most recent studies at an approved Gifted School in Vietnam

Not have already commenced your studies at UQ, even if you seek a change of program

Not simultaneously hold another scholarship

Commence study in the semester indicated in the UQ offer letter

The scholarship does not include stipend or OSHC.  Funds will be allocated in the form of a tuition fee deduction.

Selection criteria

Following the closing date, UQ will select winners based on a competitive, merit-based process, based on:

Candidates’ academic performance as demonstrated by their academic results - Grade Point Averages (GPA)

Candidates’ one page supporting statement indicating how the UQ program of choice will create change and benefit their career

Incomplete applications or applications which are found to be inaccurate, false or misleading will not be considered.

Wherever possible, UQ will notify applicants within three weeks of the scholarship closing date of the result of their applications.

How to apply

Lodge an official UQ undergraduate or postgraduate coursework application form for international students for entry into one of the eligible scholarship programs either directly to UQ or through an official UQ agent.

Receive a UQ Student ID Number and an unconditional offer (or a conditional offer providing that all conditions are met by the scholarship closing date).

Complete and submit the application form using the application form link.
